Welcome to
Deep Matrix SevenEmeraldTablets.net

a multi-user VRML tarot reading system

                                                                                        Enter Seven Emerald Tablets

Some tips about Seven Emerald Tablets features:
1. Click the  blue "help?" sign that will eventually show up in the lower right of
center portion of your screen for instructions on how to use Seven Emerald Tablet's
shared Tarot cards .
2. Say "hi" or "hello" to Grimalkin the resident bot! He does get  pretty lonely.
He also likes to hear "hugs" and "goodbye" .
3. Try out the Chat Butterfly or Chat Sorcerer avatars. They will display your
typed chat as text to other users and yourself.
4. Avatar gestures are listed in a pull down window that appears after
connecting to the server. To use, just highlight the gesture title,
pull down, then release.
5. If you have no VRML browser, (shame on you!) you can still talk to others in

Seven Emerald Tablets using the link below: Chat Only! NO 3D

New Users Please Read: You need two things to enter Deep Matrix VRML multi-user server!

1. A VRML plugin for either Internet Explorer or Netscape 4* series.
You can choose from one of the five gif/links toward the top of this page.
For more info on choosing a VRML plugin:
2. A specific Java Virtual Machine.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you must use the
Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MS JVM) rather then the Sun Java plugin!
If you tried to use the Deep Matrix java applet and only got a grey box with
a red "X", you are using the Sun Java plugin!
To switch from the Sun plugin:
1. Go to the I.E. tool bar.
2. Select: Tools -> Internet Options ->Advanced
3. Then scroll down and watch for Sun's coffee cup logo. Uncheck it's box,
The three check boxes for the MS JVM should be right below it.
 4. Now check them and close all open windows of I.E. and restart a
     new I.E. browser window.

If you have a newer Windows XP machine and don't have the MS JVM,
you can download the basic JVM from one of many links at this page:
msjav86 version 5.0.3805
and get the must-have update here: MS JavWU version  5.0.3810.0

Microsoft will continue to provide updates for it to '07!
Some tips for Windows XP users with Service Pack2 (SP2):
1. Turn off the popup blocker.
2. In  IE Tools menu choose Internet Options > Advanced.
Scroll down to "Secuity check" Check the box that says:
"Allow active content to run in files on My
Computer. Restart IE."

Alternatively, you can also use Netscape 4.8 available  here: Netscape 4.8
While supposedly obsolete, Netscape offers the ability to install multiple instances
so you can test out crossplatform VRML very easily.
See this site for more info: http://www.vrmlworlds.com/multiplugins.html

The user should view the old Netscape 4 series as simply a stand-alone application for
running VRML Browsers and EAI rather than attempting to replace with a backward step
modern HTML browsers such as Firefox!

Once  you have Netscape installed, you will have to re-install your VRML plugin,
so it puts dynamic link libraries and Java classes in Netscape's plug-in folder:

"C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\Program\Plugins"

If after reinstallation the applet still does not load, copy the VRML plugin class
archive -(npcosmop211.jar for Cosmoplayer, Plywood.jar for Cortona. Contact you don't
have to worry about because it already puts its classes in the java
classes folder.(see below) )- over to Netscape's Java/classes folder. Generally found at:

"C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\Program\java\classes"

You'll be in the right folder, if you can find "java40.jar"!

Attention Bitmanagement/Blaxxun Contact users! Deep Matrix multi-user system
uses a different avatar setup than blaxxun community servers. To view your
avatar press the "Ghost mode" button that appears on the applet after connecting to the server.
The right-click "View My Avatar" feature of Contact will NOT show you the correct avatar!
DM uses a different gesture system also, so unless it is a DM specific avatar, its gestures
probably won't work.

Credits : Some of the avatars used here are from the avatar collection at www.geometrek.com: Geometrek Avs
I have modified them to some extent, but the basic artistic designs belong to:
Andrew Reitemeyer for Thor, Athena,  Butterfly and the ultra-cool Sorcerer.
Dennis McKenzie for Shelob the Spider.
The Tentacle avatars are an original design is by Blaxxun inc.  that was modified by John Landry to a Deep Matrix avatar.
Grimalkin the gremlin is from www.Avatara.com
